What's new at Innovative

I love when a plan comes together, and all of the planning and build-up has lead us to the brink of our office relocation. As I type this, new partition systems are being installed in our new space, and the electrical inspection is scheduled for tomorrow. Our staff has been listening to me provide build-out updates for four long months, and now all the talk is leading to action - we'll be in our new space by month's end!

In this month's newsletter, we provide more details regarding our office relocation. In addition, extend an invitation to our open house, celebrate the fifth anniversary of our acquisition of Tech Cavalry, share lessons from having been "spear-phished" earlier this month, introduce Community Enterprises (now known as Viability), and we meet service coordinator, Jason Santiago. Enjoy!

Our move is upon us!
Call Center carpeting installation After several months of planning and build-out, we will be relocating to our new home in Suite 3 of Mill 180 here in Easthampton the last week of August. Wednesday, August 30 will be a "virtual snow day" with all staff who are conducting or coordinating service working remotely. Our first day of operation out of our new office will be on Thursday 8/31.

You can view the history of our construction project by visiting our photo album on Facebook. More photos will be added as the project concludes, so be sure to check back to see the final stages of the project!

You're invited to our Open House!
Open House Please join us on Tuesday, September 12th at our Open House in our new home at Mill 180 in Easthampton! Not only can you help us celebrate our new location, but this is a great opportunity to meet some of the behind-the-scenes staff that service our clients all day, every day. Please RSVP if you plan to attend so we can plan accordingly. We hope you'll join us!

Help is on the way!
Tech Cavalry - Help is on the way!
This month brings the five-year anniversary of our acquisition of Tech Cavalry, formerly of Northampton. Shortly after acquisition, Tech Cavalry operations were consolidated into our Easthampton office, and Tech Cavalry became the name of our on-demand service resources for small office and home office customers.

Innovative is often Tech Cavalry's best customer, as our "TC" resources often get tapped to help Innovative clients as well. However, for fast, reliable, and on demand computer services that meet the needs of small offices and home offices - we're there when you need us - Help is on the Way! Visit the Tech Cavalry website for more information.

We've been spear-phished!
spear phishing On August 9th, our financial coordinator, Shaun Mullaly, recevied an email that at first glance appeared to be from company president, Dave DelVecchio, but with simple inspection, was found to be a spear-phishing attempt.

Unfamiliar with spear-phishing? Please check out the blog article Dave penned following the incident for more information.

Introducing Viability
Viability Community Enterprises is a name many people know as an organization who provides supported employment, education, and living services to people with disabilities. Working closely with families, employers and the greater community, CE works to create a wide range of services that help their clients live, learn, work and thrive independently throughout Massachusetts, Connecticut, New York, and Oklahoma. Effective July of this year, Community Enterprises and Human Resources Unlimited have joined forces to form Viability.

Each year, Community Enterprises, and now Viability, hosts the Karen Lachapelle Memorial Golf Classic. Proceeds benefit Karen's Fund, a recreation and wellness program for people with disabilities. Golfers from everywhere and of all skill levels come together to support a great cause and enjoy a day of great golf, great food, and great prizes! This year's tournament will be held on Monday, September 18, 2017 at the Southampton Country Club. Please visit the tournament web page for more information.
