Innovative Business Systems was founded by Bill Tremblay as a part-time venture in April, 1987. Bill went full-time with Innovative in 1989, and incorporated as of January 1, 1990. As of 2010, we had decided to focus on our corporate annivesary officially, what with it being such an even number. However, we have rethought that strategy, and are now at the brink of starting our three-year 30th anniversary celebration!
We have acheived many accomplishments in our first 30 years, however, expect big things from Innovative as we embark on our next 30 and beyond. Next month, we will be sharing a big announcement, and look forward to celebrating with all throughout the year. For more information on Innovative history, please visit our
Last month, we announced that Innovative has completed a comprehensive HIPAA verification process. This thorough program focused not only on the physical and technical security in place to protect data, but also the administrative controls through policies, processes, education, and on-going management to maintain our status. Now Innovative can help your organization do the same.
Remember, according to HIPAA definitions, data security standards are not only applicable to "Covered Entities", or those who directly provide health-related services and maintain health records, but also "Business Associates" who provide services to Covered Entities. Therefore, if your organzation provides healthcare services or provides support to healthcare providers, we're here to help.

Introducing The Care Center of Holyoke
Since opening its doors in 1986, The Care Center has worked with thousands of teen mothers and their families. By combining rich, rigorous academics with supports like daycare, transportation and medical care, they help low-income mothers, who have dropped out of school, prepare for college and careers. To increase college graduation rates, they launched Bard Microcollege Holyoke, the nation's first college for young mothers. The accredited program housed at The Care Center is designed to mitigate the challenges young mothers routinely face in a traditional college setting.
In 2002, their New Directions curriculum was recognized as a model demonstration program by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services and were recognized by The White House in 2011 as one of the best programs for youth in the country with the President's Committee on Arts and Humanities Youth Program Award. In 2015, The Clemente Course in the Humanities offered at The Care Center in partnership with Bard College, was awarded the National Humanities Medal by President Obama.
