What's new at Innovative

What happens to company data that may be compromised when a notebook is lost or stolen? Without a plan in place in advance, data could be lost, and the reputational damage could be substantial. This month, we explore our new Simply-Secure solution, discuss the tax benefits of leasing, and we meet Blue team member, Tad Puckett. Enjoy!

Introducing Simply-Secure
Simply Secure
Many businesses rely on laptops, mobile phones, and tablets to get work done, and as a result, sensitive business data is often going along for the ride when whose devices are taken off-site to client meetings or other remote work sites. Should a device be lost or stolen, you want the right tools in place to be sure any data doesn't fall into the wrong hands, as the reputational risk of data loss is often as great or greater than the value of the data itself.

In this recent blog, Innovative introduced Simply-Secure, a security-as-a-service offering that makes it easy to provide centralized management and encryption of all your devices, including Windows PCs, Macs, iPhones, or Android devices.

Simply-Secure Case Study
What type of business needs better control of mobile devices? One example is a Credit Union client, who needed to secure a mix of portable devices running a mix of operating systems from Windows 7 to Windows 10. In this blog, Rodolfo Irizarry highlights the needs identified and how Simply-Secure was the right choice for them.

Tax Benefit of Leasing
Lenovo Financial Services
Section 179 of the government tax code allows businesses to deduct the full purchase price of qualifying equipment purchased or financed during the tax year from their gross income. By financing an equipment and/or software purchase, clients can acquire and write off the full cost without paying the full amount during the 2016 tax year. This offers businesses an opportunity to maximize their purchasing power and get more done with less capital outlay.

In this PDF article, our friends at Lenovo Financial Services offer an example of the impact the potential savings can have for an organization. But of course, please consult your tax and accounting advisors to determine how you may benefit from this federal government incentive. Lenovo Financial Services and Innovative Business Systems does not offer or provide tax or accounting advice.
