Security Awareness

The IBS Security Awareness training program offers a thorough and detailed exploration of how IT Security for organizations is achieved. The scope of this course is appropriate for sole proprietorships up to large corporations, and includes a discussion and overview of IT Security as a Risk Management discipline. In addition, we examine the implications of inadequate or non-existent security policies and procedures, and discuss how organizations must balance the security / usability / cost equation.

Next, we do an in-depth study of current IT Security risks and how they manifest in the computing environment. Several real case studies are presented and discussed, and participants are encouraged to cite personal examples and experiences with these risks. Then we explore what IT Security defenses are available and recommended currently, with a focus on user awareness and vigilance.

If desired, IBS can tailor the content to your company's specifications, providing a more meaningful discussion of security concerns. The training can be held in our training facility or on-site at the company's location. Class time frames are flexible.
